During the period of November 2021 and January 2022 my wife and I had the pleasure of selling one property in Sooke, BC then buying another property in Victoria. Our realtor was a lady named Lisa Vassiliadis of Macdonald Realty in Victoria. We cannot say enough about the high level of service provided, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. There was never a time when we wondered if we were being ignored or forgotten. We communicated our wishes regarding the sale of our property as well as what we wanted from our new purchase. I have never met Lisa personally and that is probably a good place to start.
Our initial communication was by email and phone while Lisa was on vacation and we were 5 time zones apart. We never did get closer than 3 time zones apart during the whole process of finding a place in Victoria and purchasing it. The market in Victoria was very hot in the spring of 2022 and you had to move quickly. We are not familiar with Victoria having only visited once many years ago. With the help of Lisa we were able to fine tune what we were looking for and what areas of Victoria. Once we achieved that we sent our son and his fiancée to Victoria for a week to hopefully see some good fits and win a bidding war within the 9 days they were there. Thanks to Lisa they saw several good places and won the bidding war on one, with our approach proposed by Lisa, rather than the highest bid. Lisa was there for us during her vacation, helped us understand Victoria and the real estate market and find us winners, that through her guidance , we were successful in purchasing. Her commitment and efforts didn't end there, she has been there since then in helping to organize the closing and move in when I will finally get to meet her and thank her personally for all she has done.
